Kumquat
KUMQUAT
Small elongated citrus fruit (2.5 cm in diameter), bright orange. The Nagami variety is the most common species. It is consumed whole, even with the skin, as it is sweet and fine. The pulp is orange, acidic and aromatic. It may contain some small seeds. It is ideal for making marmalades and other confections. It is also used to make delicious sauces and liqueurs.
